John Locke's Social Contract Comparison
A social contract is an exchange of promises between two parties. In John Locke's writing he basically states the rights that he believe should be giving to the people such as laws designed for the good of the people etc. In a social contract you would promise some of the same things for instance, if i offer you "this", you can offer me "that". He also believes in natural rights which in a typical social contract could be defined as a benefit. Natural rights are rights inherent in human beings, not depedent on government. Many of Locke's view in his contract can be compared to that of a social contract.
